In a behind-the-scenes feature for his upcoming film, "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part II," Tom Cruise revealed his "most dangerous stunt" ever.
Days after posting a video of himself jumping out of a plane, the "Top Gun" actor shared a 9½-minute video of driving a motorcycle off a cliff.
"This is by far the most dangerous thing we've ever attempted," the 60-year-old actor said. "It'll be a motorcycle jump off a cliff into a base jump that we'll film in Norway."
According to Cruise, he has always wanted to be involved in the risky business.
The film's writer and director, Christopher McQuarrie, stated that Cruise, who insists on doing all of his own stunt work, put everything together, from the plan to the stunt team.
Cruise underwent "a year of base training, advanced sky-dive training, a lot of canopy skills, a lot of tracking," according to stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood.
"You say something to him, and he just locks it in," Daisher added. "He has the most acute spatial awareness of anyone I've ever met."
The "Jerry Maguire" actor claimed that he practised 30 jumps per day to perfect every aspect of the stunt. According to the video, he has performed over 13,000 times in total.
