Axl Rose promises he won't continue his 30-year stage tradition  of throwing microphones.

With his 60th birthday this year, The Guns N' Roses frontman routinely ends their concerts by passing his mic around in the front row.

His choice was made in response to a woman who was injured by the stunt last week at a Guns N' Roses concert in Adelaide, Australia, leaving her wounded and bruised.

Axl Said 'it goes without saying that we don't want anyone to get hurt or to harm anyone in any way at any of our shows anywhere.

He noted, “Regardless in the interest of public safety from now on we’ll refrain from tossing the mic or anything to the fans during or at r performances.”'

Axl's microphone accidentally hit Rebecca Howe in the face while performing in Adelaide, and video captured the moment when fans rushed to take it.

She expressed her horror at their actions to the Adelaide Advertiser, saying: "There was this enormous kerfuffle as this man tried to get the microphone... While I was attempting to maintain my cool, he held it up as if in triumph, saying, "I got it, I got it."
